"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"Arrived slightly early, but could check in and staff we lovely. Said to put 2 nights on the car park and would only pay for 1, so we could enjoy stratford a little more in the morning. Breakfast was amazing, staff lovely. Mick greeted usas was so attentive. Pool ,steam room and jacuzzi all used twice. Staff we great in the leisure complex."

"The hotel is in great location and staff were friendly although they were clearly short staffed with no one on the bar at times and only one person on reception at busy times. We had an issue with feather duvets and asked to be changed but were told that no one in housekeeping they had gone home. Someone did change it though whilst we were out. Check in and check out was painful the computer system being clearly slow didn’t help I had booked an access room but didn’t get one - we managed but if...

"Brilliant location, good parking, our room bathroom bit hadn't been emptied, toilet roll holder coming off the wall , other wise excellent, in the main dinning area, was closed to residents for private party which we wasn't informed, so we eat out. "

"We had a really pleasant stay at Penryn Guest House. The room and en suit was a nice size, clean and comfortable! It’s within reasonable walking distance to the town centre too. We would definitely stay there again! "

"Clean and spacious room. Sited at front of hotel, though traffic noise from main road was not an issue. Mini fridge was noisy and pillows not v soft, though slept ok. Good location for Stratford, and good for what we needed. "
