"Breakfast buffet very good, staff helpful, car park issues took ages to get into car park on arrival. Cleanliness in bathroom ok, eg showerhead appeared rusty and dirty, extractor fan very dusty, cob webs and dust above mirror and on ceiling. "

"We stayed one night here and we loved this hotel, very central for all attractions in York, right next to the train station. Our room was a bit small but very nice. Hotel generally is beautiful. Breakfast was nice. Would stay again."

"Loved the hotel, welcomed by very personable and kind doormen who were so friendly and attentive throughout our whole stay. The room was lovely and very spacious! Pool was busy but still nice! The location was also great, which a short walk over the river into the centre of York and the hotel was a perfect get away from the busy streets after a day walking around. Only negatives would be the foyer and welcome - it was very busy and queues up to the door! There needed to be a more efficient...

"Fabulous hotel just outside York with ample free parking and an EV charging point (flat fee £30-first come first served). Super helpful and welcoming reception staff, room a good size and very clean and inviting. Dinner at the Fat Abbot was of a really good quality, and the bar staff were really great. Breakfast very good, with even better service. Easy bus in to York, stop just outside the main building. Only complaint-couldn’t stay longer! Thank you everyone at the Parsonage. "
