"Everything was perfect and the staff were awesome...also the food options were really good. Except for the slippery floors when it rained. As we tried to walk carefully, we still experience slipping. We have slipped and fell various times during our stay. Luckily we didn't break our necks. Just some scratches my both adult sons got from slipping on the wet steps. Bring some slip resistant shoes/sandles. I hope they apply some slip resistant coating on the tiles or replace them with outdoor slip resistant tiles on their next remodel. "

"Our first time vacation in Tulum, Mexico. Was really excited about it but it didn't meet the expectations. The hotel is in a remote location and there was to transportation out of hotel to the Tulum city or surrounding areas! You either have to have a rental car or taxi! I was so surprised that a 5 star hotel didn't have airport pickup in their all inclusive packages! Had to pay almost $200 extra to go to hotel and back in airport. Hotel facilities was ok. Junior suit should have slippers to use in the room but there wasn't any! Bathtub and sinks Water wouldn't clear fast. Villas are spread out too far. Had to walk 10 mins from the room to lobby and buffet areas every meal time! There were carts/ trains available with a wait. Food options was ok but full of pork!! It was just disgusting that they would put pork with chicken and beef without any label on which is what!! Breakfast had minimum varieties mostly eggs everywhere! Instead of giving that much alcoholic drinks for free, they could've given us fresh coconuts! Instead they were selling coconuts for $800 pesos each!! All inclusive option didn't include all the restaurants within the Grand Tulum hotel area which i didn't know, otherwise i could've booked in Luxury Akumal or Sian kan! Grand Tulum had better reviews online. Anyway..overall an average experience. Might look for othet hotel options next year. "

"We're going back we had such a good time! There were 4 of us (2 couples) that went to escape winter and we were happy with the whole place. Let me see if I can give you an idea of what to expect if you're trying to decide... We stayed in a Hacienda Suite with the Preferred option. The room was so spacious and CLEAN (thank you housekeeping!). It had the best patio to sit on and you looked right into the ocean. Huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub and double vanities so you don't have to elbow each other while getting ready for dinner. LOL. Turndown service at night was a nice touch. We are actually booking again for end of Jan/begin of Feb and going to book the same room. The rooms are above the cafe and smoothie bar and preferred lounge. So coffee at your fingertips which made my husband so happy. Grab a drink and some appetizers from the lounge and head up to your patio and watch the sunset etc. The Preferred Lounge: Amazing team in there. Angeles was so helpful with our requests and we'll miss her when we go back as she'll be having her little bambino. Alejandra as well as Manuel in the evenings were excellent as too. You'll be well taken care of by the team in here. Also in the Preferred Lounge: Alfonso the bartender. He takes care of everyone with a smile and made me the best Apple Martini's I've had in Mexico and this was our eighth trip to the country. Looking forward to them again. Beach: The beach is EXCELLENT here. "
