"We were made very welcome, our room was lovely and warm (important as it was very cold and frosty), lovely and clean. Bathroom with a bath, but no shower. Large, comfortable bed. Very cosy. Breakfast was great and kept us going on our 10 mile walk that day. We had a lovely evening meal in the pub, which was well cooked and presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"We found all staff to be excellent and really helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Our room was lovely and very clean with a turn down bed service. The breakfast was excellent and breakfast staff were particularly good. Great location and not too far to walk to wherever you need to get to in the town. The only negative I would say was the noise from the local pub which was loud until the early hours but that’s not something the hotel can control and it was a Saturday night. Next time we...

"We were only looking for an overnight stay as we were attending an event so it suited our purpose. There is a small car park here, but note you have to prebook your space which was something we didnt pick up on beforehand. Our room was of good size with comfortable bed. Shower was over bath and whilst hot, the pressure was average and only a shower curtain which wouldnt leave you alone unfortunately. we stayed Saturday night and luckily had an event to attend so came back after midnight .
