I have already submitted a complaint to the property, but we were highly disappointed in our stay. We ended up having to leave around 10:45pm last night to drive home because the blaring music of a local bar was so loud that it was rattling our windows and we could not sleep. Upon arrival, our AC did not work and we had to have someone come out to fix it. Then later on the TV did not work and we had to have someone come out again to fix that. I also requested assistance with our bags because I recently underwent spinal surgery and cannot lift heavy items and I was told that someone was being sent up, but no one arrived. We had to carry them all down ourselves. I expressed my concerns to the front desk representative when I checked out early and she did not offer any remediation. She admitted it was loud and apologized. We would like El Cortez to provide a refund for the room cost as this is not the service or experience we are accustomed to at this location and we would like to be able to return in the future. However, if a resolution is not provided we will not be returning and will be forced to file a complaint with the BBB.

I was a little hesitant to stay at this hotel, but once I was there I knew that I would enjoy it! The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Look forward to staying there again.

I've stayed at the El Cortez multiple times. It's clean and updated, service is good. . I stayed in one of "the original 47" rooms. It was fine, fun history, but only stair access. Stay in the tower if you have problems with stairs. Close to the Fremont Street Experience, and a tenth the cost of a room on the strip. I've stayed on the strip in rooms much worse.

Classic Las Vegas Hotel. We stayed on the Cabana Suites building which is separate from the original building. Very clean and modern design. All staff members were courteous. We were on the ground level and it was very noisy. The outside noise levels with sirens, partiers and our hotel room were occasionally very loud, which is hard to control in a party town. We would love to stay again but next time we will request a higher floor.

Room heat did not work. Waited hours to have it checked. A technician showed up while we were away from the room for the evening which we were not very comfortable with. The “fix” was to turn the thermostat down and turn on the fan which was only blowing cold air. Spent three freezing night there and will never return.

Our room was in the remodeled section of the hotel. It was supposed to be more quiet. It was SO loud. The bathroom set up was less than ideal. Shower and toilet were separate behind a sorry excuse for a door. No privacy.

Power had gone out about 30 minutes before I arrived but I was able to get into my room, change, and get to my event. When I got back, the power was on so I was able to see that the Cabana suite was pretty nice.

I like how close to fremont it is yet far enough away that the loudness of the fremont experience isn't too much. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. The slots are fun and I left ahead everytime.
