"We spent 4 lovely nights at this hotel with a wonderful group of staff in every area including the big sister Hydro hotel up the hill nearby. We ate in the bar one evening having delicious soup starters and burgers with drinks for a reasonable £50 . The breakfast was buffet style with served hot full Scottish or vegetarian equivalent. "The hotel itself is charming and well done and clean. The breakfast available is great. Our only complaint is there is no refrigerator or microwave in any rooms. It’s a good walk to the Royal Mile (a mile maybe) but it is not a difficult walk and we did it many times in the course of our 12 day trip. "
