"The room & facilities were great. The location was perfect- great view next to the castle & 3 min walk to Grassmarket. The breakfast was a bit of a let down - £16.95 for a full breakfast & half of the items were missing - had to ask for them to be topped up & then had to wait almost 10 mins for them to arrive. Most of the other items were cold & our friend even asked for hers to be heated up in the microwave. Was not worth the £16.95"

"Other than the reception manager forgetting to phone me to let me know our room was ready, the staff have all been excellent. Special thanks goes to the staff working withinin the spa/fitness area, and the 2 male concierge staff who helped us to make the most of our stay. We would definitely return in the future."

"My boyfriend and I loved our stay at The Scotsman. The location is incredibly convenient, only steps away from Edinburgh Waverly station, and close to all the sights. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, especially our receptionist who upgraded us and allowed us to check in early. We loved our spacious room, and actually looked forward to heading back to it after long days of sightseeing. It was so bright and airy, in contrast with the often gloomy weather.
