"The Hotel was well situated and the parking was good. The breakfast and Evening Meals were really good and plentiful. The room we had was adequate, but could do with an upgrade. The staff and owner were really friendly and made us feel welcome!"

"Arriving late on a dark evening, it looked unwelcoming - but the lass on reception made up for that! The room was large and warm, with wooden furniture, and the "curtains" were wooden shutters: it felt friendly. Characterful: the ceiling must have been about 4m up, an a bit of box trim (proably hiding pipework) made a useful seat or low shelf. Everything worked. The station was a 5 minute walk, town centre likewise. I'd go back if in the area again."

"Had an overnight stay in melissa's property and loved it. Exactly what was needed to recharge the batteries of a very busy summer holiday period. Everything from booking the day before, to checking in and for payment was done smoothly and efficiently. Great communication from the host melissa and her house though was small was very relaxing and comforting. Melissa had little touches in the property to have it home from home. "The property and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. It was an easy walk to take the train to Edinburgh. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend the location to anyone wanting to explore Scotland but who doesn’t want to stay in a busy city. "
