"The Hotel was well situated and the parking was good. The breakfast and Evening Meals were really good and plentiful. The room we had was adequate, but could do with an upgrade. The staff and owner were really friendly and made us feel welcome!"

"Arriving late on a dark evening, it looked unwelcoming - but the lass on reception made up for that! The room was large and warm, with wooden furniture, and the "curtains" were wooden shutters: it felt friendly. Characterful: the ceiling must have been about 4m up, an a bit of box trim (proably hiding pipework) made a useful seat or low shelf. Everything worked. The station was a 5 minute walk, town centre likewise. I'd go back if in the area again."

"The property and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. It was an easy walk to take the train to Edinburgh. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend the location to anyone wanting to explore Scotland but who doesn’t want to stay in a busy city. "
