Avenida Kukulkan Hotel Guide - Beach Hotels in Avenida Kukulkan, Cancun

"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, 11/21-11/26. This was one of the resorts that was on the more “affordable” end. BUT nonetheless as soon was we got here we felt so welcomed. All the staff is wonderful and helpful. We got the king bed with lagoon view and the room was great and wasn’t “outdated”. I seen the reviews that the hotel was outdated and in a way yes but also as a couple in their early twenties this place was great. Now as far as activities for adults there isn’t much to do. The spa was expensive $300 so we couldn’t do that. The private dinner on the beach was also expensive and couldn’t do that either. They have a bar in the lobby and they play music every night , sometimes a singer and people dance but besides that there isn’t much entertainment for adults. My husband and I mostly did excursions in the day and were tired when we got back so we didn’t really mind. I thought they had 2 adults pools but there is only one and it’s always packed unless you go early or if you go later in the evening. Now the FOOD - everybody knows hotel food is mid so I really don’t why people are complaining about it. The food wasn’t the best but also not the worst. The Italian restaurant is pretty good and the Asian cuisine is pretty good too. But my husband and I mostly went to the buffet as they had more choices and changed everyday. Their tacos were probably our fav food, they served it by the pool everyday for lunch. The beach by this hotel is BEAUTIFUL. "

"I appreciated the fact that this hotel was not in the middle of the built-up section of hotel row! It was also in front of the Mayan museum and archaeological site, which was incredible! It was quiet, calm, and safe. I have nothing bad to say about this property and only warm fuzzies, but the kids are taking home with them. "
