"This resort is awesome, especially for younger kids. The food situation is great. We loved the accessibility of the coffee shop for easy breakfasts. "Quiet area of Cancun, new and classy building. Service is hit and miss, not up to luxury standards. Front desk forced us to pay for an upgraded room with ocean view although we booked ocean view, claiming hotel was fully booked although it was clearly not. In general property seems to focus on up charging guests at any opportunity with ridiculously high mini bar pricing, watered down margaritas at the beach and surprise bills for $10 Evian water at breakfast. "

"This was a great vacation for us. I would say the only downfall was that you couldn't prepare ahead of time for what dining options may be closed upon your arrival. We went over Valentines Day / Presidents Day weekend. There was multiple big events happening. Several weddings and several work gatherings. This caused some of the dining options to be closed. They even started to close the seating area for their main pool for one of the events without any prior notice. This was just a big bummer...
